Curved Shower Rods

Remodeling our master bath got the ball rolling on a few other projects around the house.  Eventually we will be remodeling the guest bath too.  Just don't tell my husband....I will have to spring that one on him another time - like when the master remodel is complete and he loves it.:) So until then, I decided I had to take matters into my own hands and give the bath a quick redesign ...darn the luck:) (More on the redesign later) Beside repainting, one of the things I did was to add a new shower curtain and rod so I opted for a curved rod I found at Kohl's.  I didn't want a typical rod and thought this would be a nice alternative.

I travel a lot and stay in hotels where I have experienced the benefits of a curved rod such as 7 - 8 more inches inside the shower.

I found these double-sided curtain rings by Moen at Bed Bath and Beyond.  It allows the curtain to be separate from the liner which is always a nuisance when taking a shower trying to keep the liner inside and curtain out.  With the roller balls on the top of the hooks, open and closing is a breeze and doesn't get caught up on the rod.  Great little invention!

The actual remodel i.e. new tile, flooring, vanities, sinks will have to wait until the time it right which I hope is soon now that I have a pretty good idea on the design.  But as I mentioned in Bathroom Renovation Underway! Coming up with an alternate plan is a good idea if and when problems arise.  But that's all part of the fun ( I keep telling myself) Sometimes a better option comes along...
